Technical Advisory group meeting and seminars

On the 23rd and 24th November 2011, in Melbourne, CPTM successfully delivered seminars on the activities performed to date. The Seminar was attended by 15 industry representatives, including 5 Victorian, 9 interstate (6 NSW and 3 Qld) and 1 overseas (FM Global, USA) representatives, and also the Independent Chairman of the CPTM Board Mr. Kim Griffith (part of the seminar) and the CPTM research team. The Seminar was well received by the industry participants and has generated numerous and productive technical discussions.

Copies of the seminar presentations have been delivered to the centre’s sponsors.

2nd CPTM Seminar

On 7 September 2007, in Brisbane, the Centre has delivered a professional training seminar to the Sponsors and UJV Members. Current research results of the Centre have been presented. A live demonstration of a remote controlled overloading of the Monash Special Test Transformer via the Internet has been conducted. Future research directions of the Centre have been discussed. 68 staff of 7 Sponsor and UJV organisations have attended. To view the seminar program click here.

3rd CPTM Seminar

The next Centre seminar will be held at Monash University Clayton on Thursday, 22 November 2007. The 9:00 to 11:00 Session will be organised jointly by the Centre and the IEEE Power Engineering Society Chapter of Victoria for both sponsors and non-sponsors. The 11:00-16:00 Session will be conducted for the Sponsors and UJV Members only. To view the seminar program click here

Formation of Technical Advisory Group

The Centre has determined that a Technical Advisory Group should be formed to assist in the development of the Centre, to enhance the technical alignment of the Centre to industry requirements and to promote the Centre to the industry as a “Centre of Excellence” in transformer monitoring, diagnostics and life management.

1st Meeting of Technical Advisory Group

New acting Centre Director

Jan 2011, Monash University, Head of Department Professor Arthur Lowery is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr Dan Martin as the acting Centre Director.
